Isabella standing up, and a server move
Here’s a nice video of Isabella standing up on a package of paper towels (and Jack being a ham).
Also, we’re going to be moving the site to a new hosting service some time in the next two weeks. Hopefully I won’t botch anything in the transfer.
Baby and the bath water
Isabella taking a bath, with Jack helping by giving her a toy (and then not helping by wanting to be held).
Yogurt, Eclairs, and Sharing
Jack wanted to eat some yogurt, and his usual bib was in the laundry, so he borrowed one of Izzy’s more manly ones:

I made some really good gluten free mini eclairs on Sunday:

And lastly, Iz paying a visit to Jack in the morning:

Jack and his bike
It’s finally been warm enough this week for Jack to try out his bike that grandma and grandpa got him. After dinner today, daddy took Jack out for a spin down the street.
He’s having a little trouble keeping his feet on the pedals, but he loves to ride it.

At long last, new kid pictures
So it took a couple months, but I finally got around to adding a new gallery.
The first three Jack pictures in the second row are from a “photo shoot” he had, where he held each of his stuffed animals, one at a time, and had me take pictures of them. I picked three of the best ones.
As you can see in the lead picture, Isabella will sit up by herself now, if we sit her up. She’s still trying to figure out how to get there herself. She also creeps all over the place, constantly getting in Jack’s way and trying to play with his toys. Jack says “No Izzy, No!” at least 10 times a day.
Both kids are doing fine. Iz doesn’t like to sleep through the night, and isn’t fond of drinking bottles. She does take the baby food really well, though. Jack gets funnier every day, both in his random comments and his occasional temper tantrums.
Enjoy the pictures. Hopefully it won’t be two months before I post more.
The first successful GF yeast bread
I made my first gluten free yeast bread tonight that wasn’t absolutely terrible. In fact, it was quite tasty. It’s supposed to mimic the taste of enriched white bread, and it comes pretty close.
I used the mini loaf pans my parents bought me, and threw some ice cubes on to a tray on the bottom rack of the oven when I put the loaf pans in, to prevent the tops from burning. They were still pretty brown, but not burnt.
They’re denser than regular bread, and there is a hint of the telltale taste of gluten free bread, but it’s by far the best stuff I’ve made. Perfect for jam, butter, or soaking up sauce on a plate.
Have a look for yourself!
Oh yeah, new Jack and Isabella pictures will be coming soon, now that I can get photos off of the camera again.
Where are the pictures?
There has been a dearth of activity on this site lately. Unfortunately, the memory card reader in my computer is on the fritz, so I can’t get any new pictures off of the camera. Fortunately, I ordered a new card reader today, so when it arrives, we’ll be able to post new pictures.
We apologize for the technical difficulties!
December-January pictures
Well. Quite a bit has been happening in the Brodsky House lately. Both kids had colds around Christmas, and both developed ear infections in early January. It hasn’t been a barrel o’ fun.
On the bright side, Isabella is doing really well eating baby food, including cereal, sweet potatoes, and squash. She took quickly to eating from the spoon. When she finally pops a tooth or two, we’ll get little baby snacks for her to munch on.
Jack is his normal hammy self. He’s taken to playing Animal Crossing on the Wii with mommy, visiting “Mr. Owl” and “Pee Wee Monkey”, and whoever else is in that game. He’s got a lot to say these days, and a lot of it is pretty funny. We could do without him saying “oh, crap” though. He’s also taken to pooping in the potty, which is nice. Now we just have to get him to pee in the potty.
Anyway, here are some pictures.
Chrismas 2008, only three weeks late
What can I say? We have two young kids, and not an abundance of time. I’m working on another gallery that will be posted in a couple days, so we can get caught up on pictures.
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays to all of our friends and family. I don’t think we could raise these two crazy kids without the support of our extended family and our friends. Thank you!
